Tablets and animation and filmmaking apps have made it easier to get away from the light box or rostrum camera and take the animation studio with you anywhere. Take a creative walk using tablets and animation, drawing and editing apps to interpret the landscape as you wander. During this workshop we’ll explore Gateshead and Newcastle’s Quayside to find inspiration for short animated sequences in the landmarks, architecture, sounds, shapes, colours and textures that we find.
The workshop will suit anyone who is interested in exploring how to use his or her tablet to produce animated work. You’ll need to bring your own fully charged tablet and download any animation, filmmaking and drawing apps that you would like to work with, prior to the session. We’ll provide a list of suitable apps once signed up.
